Violet slipped in the bathtub the other day, and while we were initially hopeful that there was no harm done, we're pretty sure at this point that she chipped one of her front teeth a little bit. Fortunately, I have a good friend that is a pediatric dentist, and he was very patient with our questions. She seems to be doing great despite her new aesthetic imperfection.

Assorted pictures from the last couple months
Violet's been doing a bit of growing up lately. She's saying a lot of words, a few of which we can actually understand. Ironically, my favorite right now is "No". Her pronunciation is iffy on pretty much every other word that she knows, but "No" comes out quite clearly most of the time. Other favorites include "Hedgehog" "Hot Water" and "Baby". She has a little stuffed baby that she likes to carry around, and hopefully, it's getting her ready for the arrival of her sister. Speaking of which, Violet has been a real peach lately. So much so, it feels a bit like the calm before the storm with number 2 set to arrive in the near future. I wish I felt more ready and well rested. Said every parent ever.
It's also worth noting that she was sick for a lot of January and February. She's getting old enough that she's much more interested in running, playing, and exploring than she is in cuddling, so while we felt really sorry for her, we really enjoyed the snuggles.
