14 Month Doctor Visit

We recently had Violet's fourteenth month visit with the doctor (where does the time go?!). Per usual, she got lots of shots (can we be done with those already?) and her doctor was very happy with how she is doing overall. She seems to be right on track for development although she is definitely not a big talker. I, for one, blame Ted. I think he really just started talking in the last few years. She currently has about four words that she uses on a semi-regular basis (dada (boy does she love him! can you blame her?), dog, duck, and book.) She's not really into saying mama too often yet which I am trying not to be too sad about. I only carried her for 37 weeks or so! Where's the love and appreciation? She's doing lots of fun things like feeding herself with a spoon, drinking from a cup with a straw (bye bye bottle!) and a wee bit of signing. She is a great climber and can get herself to the top of way too tall play structures. Getting down, on the other hand, is another story. Probably the cutest thing lately is she love love loves to dance.

As far as her stats go, she continues to pretty much be a lollipop. A very cute lollipop.
Height 79cm (81% percentile)
Weight 9.8kg (62% percentile)
Head 47.5cm (93% percentile)
