Molly's Beautiful Colorado Wedding

Last weekend we flew out to Golden, Colorado to see my fabulous cousin Molly get married. Molly is one of Violet's favorite people and her wedding was amazing. Due to the time difference, Violet didn't stay for the whole party as she had to head to bed. As always, she did remarkably well on the plane and was a trooper with all of the traveling. The weather was a bit colder/rainier/snowier than expected but the day turned out truly beautiful. We are so happy to welcome Derrick to our family! Anyone who can make Molly that happy is more than okay in my book. Due to being in the wedding and having way too much fun, we sadly did not take very many photos but here are a few we took plus some we stole from the more active photographers that day.

Eleven Month Photos

Here we are again, super late on the monthly updates. This month has been quite fun. She is doing a lot of talking (not much in the way of real words but fun nonetheless), clapping, waving, and just generally being delightful. We have had a few isolated incidents where she takes a few steps on her own but this is few and far between (which is probably for the best considering the less than 100% childproofing of our house). Excuse the less than stellar pictures. She is tough to get to sit still these days.

Casa Bonita

We're in Colorado for a wedding and just went to a place called Casa Bonita where that had a POOL that their performers would DIVE INTO!!! It was the greatest. Violet clearly enjoyed it.

Our plane ride was also just dandy.

Easter

We'll try to get a real post together because there was a lot of cuteness and love this year, but this video of Vi and Nonnie playing with Easter eggs should be shared sooner rather than later.

What a bunch of Croup

Despite the fact that Violet's in daycare and has been sick a lot, we've really lucked out this year. She has endured a slew of viral comings and goings, and we've been spared any real GI issues. However, last Thursday night, we put her to bed happy and without any sign of sickness, and we woke up to her gasping for air about 3 hrs later. It would be putting it mildly to say that we freaked out a little bit. Anyway, she got better in the car on the way to the ER, and we (VERY HAPPILY) figured that she probably had croup rather than something lodged in her trachea. The Mott ER staff were great, and Violet did get steroids and nebulized epinephrine. The whole family subsequently got this cold, and while we've been a gross bunch this week, we are very grateful for the happy and healthy kid we have.

At this moment, I was about as happy as I've ever been when awake at 3AM.

Easter Photos - Thanks, Nonnie!

Well, I feel that it's becoming undeniably clear that I lack dedication to the perfect photo. However, the fantastic reason that I'm aware of this is because my wonderful sisters and mother have significantly more dedication and take the majority of the good photos posted to this blog. It's possible that I need a new camera. It is more likely that I'll take similarly crappy pictures with it.

Here, however, are some real beauties that come complements of my mother.
