Ridiculously late 9 month post

So Violet is 9 months old for one more day (today) so I figured I should probably get with it and post her 9 month updates. As I am on call, it's going to be a short one.

Her 9 month well child visit was awesome. Mostly because there are no shots! When I used to see healthy kids in clinic, this was always my favorite well child visit. For one thing, they are so cute and fun at this age, plus there's not the sad part with poking them repeatedly with giant needles. Not that I was ever the one to do that (thank God there are nurses and MAs for that!) but still.

Anyway, here are her stats:

Weight 8.28 kg (18lbs 4 oz) 51%ile
Height 73.1 cm (28.78 inches) 88%ile
Head 45.7cm (17.99 inches) 91%ile

She is ridiculously fun these days. Very smily and happy. Doesn't love crawling but is quite mobile. Really prefers walking with assistance and cruising. She laughs a lot and is very vocal. She continues to be a rockstar when it comes to eating and sleeping. In my eyes, she is perfect. But then again, she  has always been perfect to me. It really is amazing how you can love someone more every day, isn't it?

As she rarely ever will stay in one place these days, her 9 month sticker shots are severely lacking. But I guess I would say they are quite representative of her current happenings.

Marco Island - Couple more

Looks like I didn't put all of the pictures on my computer initially. Here are just a couple more.

A few more from Nonnie

Marco Island Vacation

Since Saturday, we've been in Florida taking in some much needed warmth and sunshine. There's been some great food, lots of great naps, and some very short but very satisfying trips to the beach and pool. She was sick with a cold, so she may not have enjoyed this trip as much as she could have, but overall, she held up remarkably well.

Pulling up is her favorite move these days, and it's pretty adorable. However, the crib that they gave us was pretty much perfect for her to practice in, and on our first day there, she didn't really sleep so much as stand there gripping the edge of the crib, wide-eyed, and screaming her guts out. You're welcome, neighbors!

On a side note, Marco Island is south of Fort Myers, and it appears to be a destination for families and for the retired. I myself enjoy driving at 18 mph, and this was right up my alley.
