Violet's Second Birthday
While somewhat eclipsed by the arrival of Edie on the 21st, we managed a small celebration for Violet's second birthday on the 25th, and Annie was kind enough to roll Violet into a party for Nathan and Viv's birthdays over the weekend (of which I failed to take any pictures because I'm a dope).
Violet got cupcakes from Edie when she was born, and there has since been a lot of focus on cupcakes and cake in general. Putting sand in muffin tin? "Cake. Cook it." Play-Doh? "Cake." Needless to say, the fact that there has been a lot of cake at recent events has been just fine with her.
As a side not for us when we look back on this blog, we were at one point keeping a close eye on Violet's verbal development, but things have taken off considerably. She's got a lot to say, and we can even understand a little bit of it!
