A little free association

Since the post in which I pointed out that Violet briefly looked exactly like Prince in Purple Rain, she has had several additional moments during which her body language elicited a memory of some other image. I recognize that I need to stop projecting adult themes on the actions of my infant daughter, but give me a break, she's 6 wks old. Also, the bulk of the time she's just adorable but not doing anything remarkable. SO! On the off chance that anyone is as entertained by these as I am, here are a few of the highlights.

For further happiness, you can watch the whole Weapon of Choice video. I almost posted videos of them both tap dancing, but I thought that was a bit on the nose.

The Baileys come to visit

My co-fellow, Kelly, had already met Violet but her husband and son Jonah had not. They came over and brought a delicious dinner of Zingermans! Jonah was adorable, super happy and turned out to be quite the baby whisperer. In other exciting news, Kelly is due with her second this fall. We can't wait to have another little friend for Vi.

Thanks Auntie Molly

Auntie Molly sent me some adorable clothes and Dad thought today would be a great day to try out this cute ensemble. Thanks so much Auntie! Violet can't wait to meet you.

Memorial Day

Memorial day marked the beginning of summer but also the end of paternity leave. So sad. We love love loved having Dad home with us and now will just be anxiously awaiting our weekends with him.  We had a lovely Memorial Day at Nonnie and Papa's house. We ate lots of yummy food and also got to see Annie, Vivian and Nathan. We attempted a few photos of the girls together which wasn't so successful as we had to wake Violet for them. I suspect she was hungry as well. Vivian, on the other hand, had just eaten and was a perfect angel.

Mom loves summer clothes for me because it means more access to my soft, adorable rolls.

Exhausted from the Memorial Day BBQ at Nonnie's.

Just waking up

Not happy that Memorial Day means Dad is back to work
